The I.D.E.A. provides a comprehensive review of your practices, policies, and systems. However, we have endeavoured to make the process as easy and painless as possible for our clients while providing maximum value.

In respect to who to contact, you may either contact us directly or one of our exclusive partners. The actual Audit is always conducted by I.D.E.A. but our partners sometimes offer their existing clients discounts and/or other complimentary options. Once you have decided to move forward with the I.D.E.A. Audit, either we or our partner will provide you with a Service Order that outlines the terms of the Audit and confidentiality. Upon receipt of the signed Service Order, we are ready to begin the audit. The following steps are provided by our I.D.E.A. support team and outline the Audit process as well as average timing.

  1. Client: You sign and fax the Service Order to I.D.E.A. or the I.D.E.A. partner.
  2. I.D.E.A. will email you instructions on how to conduct the Inbox Deliverability test as well as a questionnaire. Since these instructions are customized for each Client, it may take up to 2 business days for us to send this to you after receipt of your Service Order.
  3. Client: You conduct the Inbox Deliverability test by simply mailing a non-commercial email (we'll provide the content in our instructions) from each IP/mailserver being audited to the list of eMail addresses we provide you (note, you are only mailing to our email addresses and not mailing anything to your customers).
  4. Client: You complete the questionnaire and email this back to us. Most clients share with us that completion of the questionnaire takes approximately 1/2 hour.
  5. I.D.E.A. uses the the emails received from the Inbox Deliverability test to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your mailserver and mailing methodology. We use your answers to the questionnaire to document and evaluate your business policies and practices as well as verify items such as your unsubscribe page and permission methods on your site/s. This data is compiled and scored for your I.D.E.A. Audit. If we have any questions or find inconsistencies in any of the data, we will contact you during this period to resolve them so that we can ensure the I.D.E.A. Audit results will be complete and accurate.
  6. I.D.E.A.: Within 3 to 5 business days of receipt of your questionnaire and your deployment of the Deliverability mailing, we will provide you with your comprehensive reports, audit scores and seal.
  7. At your convenience and ideally within 2 business days of your receipt of your audit results, we schedule a conference call to review your results with you. This call is purely optional but provides an excellent opportunity to share additional insights with you and to answer any and all questions you might have regarding your results.
In general, the entire process is typically completed within one week. Our service level guarantee to you is that is all I.D.E.A. Audit reports are completed and delivered to you within 5 days of receipt of your questionnaire and audit mailing.
